Nutritional Scientist Lab
Test food samples for Carbohydrates, Proteins, and Fats
Activity 1: Testing for Starch
Starch is a complex carbohydrate. Use Iodine solution to test the potato.
The potato turned Blue-Black! This indicates the presence of starch.
Activity 2: Testing for Protein
Add Copper Sulphate and Caustic Soda to the mashed food sample.
The solution turned Violet! This confirms Protein is present.
Activity 3: Testing for Fats
Wrap a food item (like a peanut) in paper and crush it. Look for an oily patch.
An oily, translucent patch appeared! This indicates the presence of Fats.
Activity 4: Create a Balanced Diet
A balanced diet contains all nutrients in right quantities. Click to add components:
π Excellent! You've built a healthy, balanced meal!

Chapter 2: Components of Food
Test for Starch
Take a small quantity of food item (raw potato). Add 2-3 drops of dilute Iodine solution.
Test for Protein
1. Make a paste of the food item (dal).
2. Add 2 drops of Copper Sulphate and 10 drops of Caustic Soda.
Test for Fats
Take a small quantity of food. Wrap it in a piece of paper and crush it. Take care that the paper does not tear.
Nutrient Testing Summary
| Nutrient | Reagent Used | Positive Color |
|---|---|---|
| Starch | Iodine Solution | Blue-Black |
| Protein | Copper Sulphate + Caustic Soda | Violet |

Welcome, Chief Architect.
The city's environment is failing. We need Artificial Intelligence to fix it.
You will build an AI Drone to clean the river. But be carefulβAI is only as smart as you teach it to be.
Step 1: Problem Scoping
Identify the core problem to solve. Choose carefully.
Step 2: Data Acquisition
The AI needs to learn what "Trash" looks like.
Click only the TRASH items to label them.
Plastic
Fish
Box
Turtle

Step 3: Modelling (AI vs Automation)
Before deploying, understand the difference.
Try both modes to handle changing conditions.
Step 4: Evaluation & Deployment
